Getting Started
Welcome to AIStoryHub. This guide walks you through creating your account, setting up your AI key, and writing your first scene.
Quick Start
AIStoryHub is free. Sign up, start writing with the built-in free model immediately, and add your own API key whenever you want Claude, GPT, or Gemini.
1. Create Your Account
Sign up at app.aistoryhub.co:
- Click Start writing on the homepage
- Enter your email and create a password
- Verify your email address
- You're in — no subscription, no credit card required
Free model included: You can start generating immediately with the built-in DeepSeek V4 Flash model at no cost. To use Claude, GPT, or Gemini, go to API Keys in the sidebar and paste your own key.
2. Create Your First Story
After signing in you land on The Desk — your story library. To create a new story:
- Click the + New Story button (top right)
- Enter a title and optional description
- Choose genre, tense, language, mood, time period, and POV
- Click Create Story
Tip: You can also click Import from Text to paste in an existing manuscript and continue writing from where you left off.
Starting from a universe: Visit Universes in the sidebar to browse worldbuilding templates (Middle-earth, Star Wars, Dune, and more). Fork one to pre-populate your story with characters, locations, and lore.
3. Understanding the Interface
Every page in the app shares a left sidebar with these sections:

4. Add Your API Key (Optional)
The free DeepSeek V4 Flash model works out of the box. To use Claude, GPT, or Gemini:
Open API Keys
Click API Keys in the left sidebar.
Paste your key
Add keys for Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter, or Google Gemini — any combination works. Keys are encrypted at rest and never logged.
Select your model in-story
Use the model selector inside any story to pick which model powers generation. You pay your provider directly at their published rates — AIStoryHub charges nothing.
5. Basic Workflow
The typical writing session with AIStoryHub:
Build your world
Create characters, locations, and lore in the story sidebar so Ash can reference them during generation.
Set your voice
Go to Voiceprint and select or create a writing style. This tells Ash how to shape every sentence — pacing, diction, tone, POV, and more.
Generate a chapter
Open a chapter and click Generate PRO to write the scene in one pass, or Revise to apply targeted edits to what's already there. Every AI action snapshots a version, so you can always roll back from Version History.
Export when ready
Export to TXT, DOCX, or a full ZIP (chapters plus every story element) from any story.
