What is BYOK?
BYOK means “bring your own key.” Instead of paying us for AI usage, you connect your own API keys from Anthropic, OpenAI, or OpenRouter. You pay those providers directly at their standard rates, and you pay us a flat $15/mo for the platform.
Why bring my own key?
You get full control over your AI costs with no middleman markup, you pick the exact model for each task, and you face no usage caps on the platform. Transparent by design: the price you see is the price you pay us.
Which keys do I need?
At least one from a supported provider: Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (GPT), or OpenRouter (many models). Add keys from several providers and switch between them anytime.
How much will AI cost me?
It depends on the models you use and how much you write. For most writers, expect roughly $3–12/mo in API costs on top of the $15/mo platform fee. Monitor it in your provider's dashboard.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. No long-term commitments, no cancellation fees.
Are my keys safe?
Your API keys are encrypted at rest and in transit, never exposed in logs or to other users. Rotate or remove them anytime from settings.
